In Latin, motus nova translates to a new movement.
How It All Started
Founded in 2013, Motus Nova set out on a journey to make healthcare robotics more accessible for people. We started out by trying to help people in clinics and hospitals get access to technology that could help them achieve more hours of therapy, which is extremely critical in the recovery process. After realizing this model still wasn’t providing people with significantly more therapy, we thought about how we can provide more access.
Late 2017 marked the beginning of a crucial shift. We decided to put our technology in homes. At home, people can use healthcare robotics as much as they want; it is limitless. There’s no transportation burden. Use is independent. And we began to touch the surface of tele-medicine and robotic therapy at home instead of in a clinic. Finally, in 2019 after reengineering our technology we set out to truly put Healthcare Robotics in people’s homes and create a world-class service experience that puts the patient at the center by combining Artificial Intelligence and Personalized Care.
